Shipping and Receiving Lead


Monday to Friday


7:30 am to 4 pm


$17 to $19 per hour






ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.


 


·         Collaborates with the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager to understand production schedules to assist in planning shipments.


·         Communicates with the Scheduler regarding all orders in order to provide accurate information to customer service regarding product ship dates.


·         Performs quality checks on all outgoing shipments to assures adherence to order specifications and stipulations.


·         Oversees and/or performs receiving duties including inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy in quantity, correct material, and package quality. 


·         Completes required shipping paperwork for all outgoing shipments.


·         Updates shipping and receiving information in the ERP system.


·         Participates in monthly inventory activities.


·         Retrieves and transports incoming and outgoing chemical containers utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks, without damaging material or equipment.


·         Correctly labels and packages materials into a variety of container sizes.


·         Identifies correct materials and products for the order fulfillment process. 


·         Uses various hand tools to perform tasks such as banding, wrapping, mixing, pumping, etc.


·         Operates and reads digital scales.


·         Reads and accurately records weights, batch numbers, lot numbers, order numbers, dates, etc.


·         Loads or unloads received or shipped materials onto or off of trucks.


·         Stages materials and orders.


Required Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS


 


 


















Education/Experience:



·         High school diploma or GED


·         Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience including shipping and receiving experience


·         Experience blending and handling hazardous chemicals in a manufacturing environment


·         Experience using computerized inventory control systems preferred



Skills:  



·         Demonstrated time management and organizational skills


·         Good computer skills; knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word; ability to learn ERP system


·         Strong attention to detail


·         Solid documentation skills


·         Ability to multi-task


·         Good communication skills


·         Ability to work in a team environment and successfully lead others


·         Ability and willingness to learn additional skills and tasks


·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and general working procedures.


·         Ability to apply common mathematical principles



Knowledge:



·         Knowledge of material movement equipment; ability to obtain forklift certification


·         Knowledge of and experience using various hand tools


·         General understanding of safety data sheets


·         Knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
