JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibility:
Perform daily job assignments as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Provide assistance to departments requiring maintenance needs or assistance.
Provide assistance to Platform Engineers, Process Engineers and Quality as it relates to
fixtures, tooling and gages that are used in the manufacture of assemblies or products.
Complies with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements.
Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely, follows all company policies
and reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the
Magna Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Authority: Direct accountability for the maintenance of the manufacturing plant, including
machine, tools and all equipment necessary for the daily operations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires High School education or equivalent. Maintenance
Technician Certificate or equivalent education and work experience. Must have welding, light
electrical, machining and general mechanical aptitude. Must obtain a forklift license and pass a
forklift physical.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Reading, writing and ability to verbally communicate in
person as well as on the telephone is a necessity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to interface with all departments. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; bend;
crouch; use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The job occasionally requires the lifting and/or moving of
heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
