Facility Maintenance Technician

Monday to Friday

7 am to 3:30 pm

$18 to $20 per hour



The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and assists with production when not performing Maintenance duties.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.


·         Performs preventative maintenance on all building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components; test system competency and component devices and evaluate performance.

·         Maintains induction and air handling units; cleans and inspects all equipment, completes filter changes, lubricates, maintains and services mechanical and refrigeration and/or cooling systems.

·         Identifies repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participate in estimates and evaluations of  project costs; monitors work of vendors or contractors; assists in the review of new construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with facility maintenance standards.

·         Trains less-skilled staffed in facilities maintenance trades

·         Maintains record keeping related to preventative maintenance and repair so that the most efficient and effective use of maintenance management and service request tracks and closes assigned work orders.

·         Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities

·         Oversee vendor contract scheduling services that provides warrantied maintenance on building systems and performance

·         Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications :


·         High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, Building maintenance or relevant field experience.

·         Proven experience as maintenance technician

·         Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems

·         Knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

·         Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

·         Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime

·         High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus

·         Certified Maintenance ad Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

·         Minimum of two years hands-on industrial manufacturing experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
